New ReviewerI purchased a MFC L-2690DW yesterday. I unpacked the box, removed the plastic bag on the printer, and removed all the tape that secured the scanner top.
I read the instructions for the next step. The instructions said to insert the drum and toner unit (packed as one piece). I looked through everything I took out of the box and there was no package with a drum and toner unit. It is missing.
I have not yet registered this device, S/N: U65529L1N123399.
I am sure this is a fluke. I have purchased two other Brother printers since last fall and another for our Lodge and all were complete and worked great. That's one of the reasons I wanted to upgrade to the MFC L-2690DW.
My other scanner (Samsung) had quit working. The printer function still works but there are times I need a scanner.
How should I proceed?
Please advise.
